It's being reported all over in a study of 16,000 people that coffee dramatically reduces liver disease. It just gets better all the time.
Certainly compliments my lifestyle. Coffee in the mornings and beer and wine at night. A heavy health regimen.

DRINK TO YOUR HEALTH:
Coffee Found to Protect against Liver Disease

The more coffee you drink, the lower your risk of liver disease. A new study has determined that caffeine-based beverages, including coffee, offset risk factors for liver damage such diabetes or viral hepatitis. Among subjects with these risk factors, two cups or more of coffee proved to cut liver damage in half.

Direct Correlation

A research team headed by Dr. James E. Everhart of the U.S. National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases analyzed data from 16,000 adults surveyed in a nationwide nutrition survey, and of the 6,000 found at high risk, those who drank caffeinated beverages showed lower incidence of liver disease. The greater the caffeine consumption, the lower the risk for liver injury, even after adjusting for other risk factors such as age and cigarette smoking. Also, the findings were the same for all age, gender and ethnic groups."
